Thursday, March 12th
Brennan's Irish Pub - 5th Annual Irish Flag Raising - 5:30pm
You are cordially invited to attend the Five Points South St. Patrick's Celebration "5th Annual Irish Flag Raising and The Great Birmingham Irish Toast" on Thursday March 12th, 2020.
The ceremony starts at 5:30pm at the Chick-Fil-A flag pole in Five Points South and will be led by the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society. This event is an opportunity to pay tribute to this years Parade Marshall and to kick-off the St. Patrick's Parade Day weekend. The ceremony will include a pipe performance, the announcement of this years parade marshall and an Irish blessing from the local Irish community.
Following the flag raising, a procession led by bag pipes will take the crowd over to Brennan's Irish Pub for "The Great Birmingham Irish Toast" with $5.00 Guinness pints and Tullamore Dew shots, toast will be lead by Birmingham Irish Cultural Society Chair Marty Connors. As we try to gather the most people together for Birmingham's LARGEST St. Patrick's toast. Stay around after the toast for dinner, Brennan's will have their full dinner menu available
Hang around after for The Guinness engraving event by Guinness. Buy a pint of Guinness and get to keep a pint glass engraved with whatever you want! 7-9 pm. Also Live music at Brennan’s will start about 7:30pm!
Saturday, March 14th
Brennan's Irish Pub - St. Paddy's Parade Day - 10am to 1am
It’s time to purchase your VIP passes! VIP passes will include parade day buffet (free food from 2-8!), admission on Parade day and St Patrick’s Day ($18 value), swag bag with our new t-shirt design (please send me sizes!), access to VIP tent area with separate bathroom(and an escape from the crowd!), free to go cup for your drinks to actually leave the pub, and lastly 10% off of your meal on St Patrick’s day (since the buffet is only on Saturday)! Music starts at Noon with Ricko Donovan, Hooley takes the stage at 3pm to treat us to some traditional celtic music, ISMPB will be here around 8 pm for lead us into the night with the bagpipers and drum corp, then Jasper Coal will take the stage about 9 pm with Celtic Punk and bring it home!
The Woolworth - 11am to 11pm
The Woolworth will be the center of attention at the Five Points St. Patrick's Day Celebration from Saturday, 3/14 to Monday, 3/17! Come drink, eat, play games and drink some more. We will be serving up Irish Nachos, $5 Guinness and all of the scrumptious food and delicious cocktails from our new menu! Come join us before, during and after the parade. P.S. You know that you can get alcohol to go during the celebration, right?

St. Patrick's Day Tour de Brewers XVI - 11am to 3:30pm
Tour de Brewers XV is a roughly 11K informal charity run/ride/walk/ride-share brewery crawl supporting The Dannon Project, that combines the "fun" of a fun run with the total awesomeness of tasting great Birmingham local brews.
The running/cycling event starts at 11:00 a.m. at Tin Roof Birmingham. As a participant, you will receive a race bib with 5 vouchers - each good for a craft beer at any of the stops available through the event. Stops/Breweries for Oktoberfest include Avondale Brewing Company, Back Forty Birmingham, Birmingham District Brewing, Cahaba Brewing Company, Ghost Train Brewing, Good People Brewing Company, Hop City-Birmingham, and TrimTab Brewing Company. Also included is a commemorative t-shirt and and exciting post-run/ride party with live music back at Tin Roof where you can win some great prize giveaways! This is a grassroots event where you get to choose the route to each stop and choose which breweries you want to visit. Don't worry if you don't know the area - We provide maps and there are plenty of friendly participants and volunteers on the event route that will help you find your way. All of this fun, plus knowing you are supporting a local nonprofit, The Dannon Project, that is impacting the Birmingham community by providing services to promote permanent employment, holistic health, and stable families amongst poor and at-risk communities. Saturday, March 21st
St. Patrick’s Cornhole Tournament - 12pm to 6pm
The Beer Hog is hosting a St. Patrick’s Cornhole Tournament Saturday, March 21st at Noon. We will have a 16 team double elimination bracket. Teams will be given 30 minutes to play each game. Warm-up time will begin at 11:00AM. Tournament will begin at 12:00pm and will end no later than 6:00pm.
Registration fee is $20 per team. The last day to register is Friday, March 20th. We will take the first 16 PAID teams. The Top 3 teams will receive a cash payout: 1st Place-$200, 2nd Place-$100, 3rd Place-$30. Plus a grand prize for the 1st Place Team. This tournament is kid and dog friendly! Lew Dawg’s Catering will be set up on the patio for the afternoon. This event is FREE admission to the public and $20 to compete.
